Knowing Myself as a Learner
The second unit focused on knowing myself as a learner. During this unit, I had the opportunity to explore what type of learner I am and how to enrich my leadership qualities through my learning style and strengths. The first picture on the left depicts my drive to learn. My drive to learn supports my stronger kinesthetic learning style. I do value other learning styles that are different from mine and continue to learn how I can incorporate them to assist in my growth as a learner and leader.
The VARK questionnaire results identified my strongest learning preference as a kinesthetic learner. The other learning preferences ranked a different numbers and demonstrated areas of improvement for me.
Success has always been important to me, but throughout this MAELM program I have reflected upon my successes and some that did not work out, and found a different outlook. This outlook allowed me to accept that mistakes will be made and not everything will be perfect, but other opportunities will always present themselves.
